KHWARAZMIA. King Ramik, late 6th century. Tetradrachm (Silver, 28 mm, 7.08 g, 12 h). Draped bust of Ramik to right with a large beaded necklace, wearing Khwarazmian royal head-dress. Rev. King on horseback to right; Khwarazmian tamgha to left; around, ‘MRʾY MLKʾ rmyk’, i.e. ‘βēndak šāh Ramīk’ (‘Lord [and] King Ramik’ in Khwarazmian). Vainberg Г I. Very rare. Nicely toned. Areas of weakness, otherwise, about very fine.
